FEULING M8 oil-cooled cam chest kits include all necessary components from the top to the bottom of the chest, conveniently packaged under a single part number. These combined kits not only ensure that each individual part is designed to work and function together, but to do so in perfect harmony. These cam chest kits eliminate the guesswork from the ordering process and guarantee the engine builder maximum reliability, optimum performance and the lowest possible engine and oil temperatures.

Due to the high volume of calls and enquiries requesting the groove for the M8 oil pump rear cover seal/O-ring, we have added the groove (11/05/21). Although Feuling's internal testing on healthy engines showed no benefit. The O-ring may have potential benefits in certain circumstances, such as engines with increased cylinder compression loss, poor inner O-ring sealing, elevated crankcase bore and/or crankcase plug (see PRO M8 TIP below) and larger clearances between the lifter and bore.
487 CAM - Bolt-in. Hot rod camshaft, ideal for 114" and 117" engines looking to get the most out of them. Strong hit at idle. Retains power in the lower end and pulls hard above 2,950 RPM compared to stock. Responds very well to increased displacement or compression. A high-flow exhaust system and air filter are strongly recommended for optimal performance. FEULING recommends pairing this cam with our RACE SERIES lubrication system.

The kits include: FEULING high-volume oil pump, HIGH FLOW alloy cam plate, REAPER Series camshaft, short-travel roller hydraulic lifters, fixed-length pushrods, TIMKEN/KOYO cam bearings, rocker studs and nuts, gaskets, O-rings, ARP cam/crankshaft fasteners, washers, molybdenum lubricant and LOCTITE.
-The RACE SERIES kits include a RACE SERIES lubrication system: 7075 alloy oil pump, RACE SERIES lifters, HIGH FLOW 7075 alloy cam plate.
• 7075 alloy oil pump that is 50% harder and more durable than the factory pump, maintaining tighter tolerances under temperature, with deeper suction rotors than the HP+ oil pump.
• Deeper induction kidney ports than the HP+ series for greater induction flow volume • RACE SERIES hydraulic lifters have .200" total travel, designed with a slower bleed rate to handle high valve spring pressures, increase engine RPM before valve float, and feature greater roller clearance for aggressive ramp camshafts and clearance for the front exhaust cam lobe flange on M8.
OIL LEVEL NOTE - DO NOT OVERFILL THE OIL TANK It is important to achieve the correct hot oil level on your motorbike. Feuling recommends keeping the oil level at 90%-99% when hot.
Note: The M8 oil drain plug is on the right-hand side of the engine. Leaving the motorbike idling or warming it up on the side stand will naturally fill the crankcase and skew the oil level in the tank.
We recommend the following steps to achieve the correct oil level:
1. Check the oil level when cold.
2. Ride the motorcycle until it reaches operating temperature.
3. Switch off the motorbike while it is still in an upright position. (This ensures an accurate reading) 4. Once the motorbike is on its side stand, check the oil level.
5. Add or remove oil as necessary.
