The RACE SERIES kits include the FEULING HIGH FLOW billet aluminium cam plate, machined from 7075 aluminium, which is 50% harder and stronger than factory cam plates. FEULING increases oil flow and volume by enlarging the oil pump reservoirs and critical oil passages, including matching the oil port holes throughout the cam plate to the port holes in the engine crankcase, increasing engine oil flow to the lifters, piston cooling jets, crankshaft and connecting rod bearings.
FEULING oil pumps are bench tested; the relief valve is seated and sealed at a minimum of 30 psi with full opening at 55-60 psi. The increased oil volume from the larger gears and correctly sized passages, together with the seating and sealing of the pressure relief valve in these oil pumps, are essential for the correct operation of the lubrication system. The combination of the FEULING oil pump and cam plate eliminates the common pressure and scavenging problems associated with factory lubrication systems.
- RACE SERIES kits include a hard anodised 7075 machined aluminium oil pump, which is 50% harder and stronger than the factory pump, maintaining tighter tolerances under temperature. RACE SERIES M8 oil pumps have deeper pickup kidneys compared to the HP+ kidneys for greater suction volume.
OIL LEVEL NOTE - DO NOT OVERFILL THE OIL TANK It is important to achieve the correct hot oil level on your motorbike. Feuling recommends keeping the oil level at 90%-99% of capacity when hot.
Note: The M8 oil pick-up is on the right-hand side of the engine. Letting the motorbike idle or warm up on its sidestand will naturally fill the engine case and unbalance the oil level in the tank.
We recommend the following steps to achieve the correct oil level:
1. Check the oil level when cold.
2. Ride the motorcycle until it reaches operating temperature.
3. Switch off the motorbike whilst it is still in an upright position. (This ensures an accurate reading) 4. Once the motorbike is on its side stand, check the oil level.
5. Add or remove oil as necessary.
